Solsbury Hill

This song from Peter Gabriel  describing the same Solsbury Hill in Swainswick where I often played as a child.  He actually lived in Swainswick himself and was describing what sounds to me very much like an contactee experience in the song. Tragically Solsbury Hill was eventually seriously damaged to make way for the Batheaston By-pass.  A transcript of the lyrics is below the video, which in the second part shows great photos of the valiant protesters who occupied the demolition site. (. .and always makes me cry!)
